I always thought Mr Sashi Kapoor as one of the most handsome with an endearing smile that could melt the toughest heart.
Remember a few of his interviews in the eighties, very few people could match his candour and self effacing humour.
The first unforgettable moment for me when he got the best actor award for New Delhi times, he choked with emotion and regret that his wife Jennifer Kendall, deserved it more for her performance in 36 chowringhee lane. Probably true, but the overflowing love for his wife made a poignant picture.
The second, is timeless, dialogue, from Deewar,' Mere Pass Ma hai!, '( I have my mother with me). This dialogue has endured and will endure.
Classy Mr Kapoor, we shall forever remember your charming smile. There are no good byes to be said, for you are etched in our hearts
