Deeply disappointing
After a 'Tarentinoesque' introduction and a brilliant ambush sequence at the Parota shop, the film gallops until the interval.
A free fall after the interval making it one of the most tiring Karthik Subbaraj's film. Even the customary twist in the end was missing.
Looks like Mari Selvaraj or Pa. Ranjith seemed to have hijacked the film midway.
I believe the Tamil race has all the reasons to feel proud about themselves, their accomplishments and contributions. Why do Tamil film makers have to make a race always feel either oppressed or downtrodden? Sad.
The immigrant narrative is very poorly researched and even more poorly narrated. Absolutely unbecoming of the class of Karthik Subbaraj.
I really hope Karthik Subbaraj gets over his identity crisis soon.
