One of the first movies of the year that rises above the toxic fumes released by Indian cinema this year.
Insanely good writing, and great performances aided by excellent background music that keeps you on the edge. Flawed may be, but definitely brilliant and liberating!!

This year I have fallen back again on Malayalam cinema to keep myself alive, Saudi Vellakah on Sony Liv, Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey ( I caught up with this only recently ), Unni Mukundan Associates (Both on Hotstar) and now Thankam on the big screen.
Thank you, Malayalam cinema, for respecting the audience, taking the pains to be creative, using the medium responsibly, and making the audience think.
