National Film Awards 2019

WHAT A SHAM(E)

I guess some movies help in winning elections, that does not automatically make it the best picture.

Let is just sample one award, the best sound designer award.

If Ee maa Yu, with its 'heart stopping' sound design cannot be awarded, film lovers like me will be crest fallen.

If Sudani from Nigeria does not even get a mention for its universal appeal and nobility in intent, what can I say. A consolation award for Special Jury award for the supporting actress is probably not good enough.

I saw about 5 Malayalam movies recently, they seem to be several notches ahead of the national average. I do not see  many Malayalam movies in the list. A great tribute to our sensibilities!!!

I think it is high time that we stop making a mockery of ourselves.!!!!

PS: Since Tamil Nadu will not vote for BJP even for several Janmas, it is not surprising that Tamil Fims will get an award. I do not know if 'Peranbu' was certified last year. If it was so, it is again a shame.
