The Irishman, Streaming on Netflix

Strictly for the patient, the discerning and lovers of Pure Cinema

In 'SIlences', you had to be jolted out on the very last scene, The Irishman tests your patience a bit more than 'Pather Panchali', but the last 30 minutes is worth the wait of three hours of viewing.

While the movie is set in 1960s, this is a timeless tale, exploring the sanctity of relationships.

Given the last 30 minutes, I just thought that this was the most spiritual gangster movie ever made!!!

Somehow, I was reminded of Ben Hur. But Scorsese will not have us rejoice, but leave us with very important questions about life itself.

Thought provoking!!!

A perfect Christmas gift served on the eve of Thanksgiving!!!.

P.S: Robert De Niro, will be a very strong contender for the Best Actor, with Al Pacino and Joe pesci vying for the best Support Actor roles.
