13/21, #Lockdownenrichmentforthesoul, Tamil Movie Recommendation

Hey Ram

Easily the most ambitious Tamil film ever made, the sweeping spectacle, beginning in the archaeological sites of Pakistan, swiftly travelling to the harrowing history of pre-independence Kolkatta, diving into those lovely streets of Srirangam dripping in the Vaishnavite culture and drifting westward to synthesize the Hindutva philosophy of its RSS lords and exploding into the alleys of Old Delhi culminating into the appreciation of Gandhiian ideology.

There is one dialogue that sums the spirit of the film, I do not think I will ever forget is, when Shahrukh Khan asks:

"Naan Un Thambi Mathiri Illaya, RAM?" ( Am I not like your younger brother, RAM?)

Only Kamalahassan could and can pull of movie of this scale, substance and style!!!

KAMALHASSAN = RESPECT

P.S:

Three important films on partition, Garam Hawa, Tamas and Hey Ram. It is also enlightening to read " Freeedom at Midnight"

We must never forget that Lord Mountbatten gave us just six weeks to partition this country.

The English not only looted us for 350 years but did their handiwork continues to bleed this country after 70 years!!!!.
